9 Acres Event Barn offers the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern elegance, seamlessly fusing the best of both vibes to create a perfectly versatile venue that would accommodate any bride’s style. It is five minutes from Utah Lake State Park, with lake views to the west and the Wasatch Mountains to the east. Your guests will appreciate the convenience of an easy drive from downtown Provo, and will be surprised to find themselves quickly tucked away in this charming wedding venue’s gardens.
Every inch of the extensive property invites you to be delighted – from the beautiful views to the romantic gazebo to the barn itself.
Bridal Suite and Groom Lounge
When I saw how spacious and bright the bridal suite is, I gaped. It’s cozy and large at the same time and has an ensuite bathroom. The groom’s lounge is also spacious and incredibly comfortable, with a separate bathroom and mounted TV.
These prep rooms are thoughtfully placed on the second floor of the barn, at either end of a large loft. There is plenty of room for large bridal parties to get ready together here without guests seeing or hearing them from below.
My favorite part, though, is the second-story balcony that adjoins the bride and groom suites on the west-facing side of the barn, perfect for enjoying a private sunset during cocktail hour.

When you book an event at 9 Acres, you get the entire venue to yourself, and there are a lot of spaces to use! I love how each space is separately beautiful and intentional, yet they coordinate and flow so well for a seamless celebration.
There are five – yes, FIVE! – areas for wedding ceremonies at 9 Acres, and four of them are outdoors.
The Arbor
The Arbor at 9 Acres is going to be one of the most charming backdrops for wedding ceremonies in Utah County. With its wooden posts and glorious greenery, it will make light work for your florist! The beautiful landscaping and stunning mountain views will elevate your wedding photos as you walk down the aisle to this charming arbor.
The Gazebo
The Gazebo offers an incredibly romantic option for your wedding ceremony. Surrounded by gardens and featuring the natural beauty of a Utah sunset, this wooden structure will be the decorative accent that accentuates the moment when you’re ready to exchange vows.
The Pavilion

There are so many heart-stopping features here, but to say 9 Acres delivers a fairy-tale wedding is not an exaggeration. Besides the venue already providing every luxurious option for your ceremony and reception, you can also choose to make your grand entrance in a horse-drawn carriage! Yes, it’s true! If you are a horse girly, or a superfan of the fairy-tale vibe, this alone will make your wedding day perfection.
Beautiful horses like “Django” will pull an elegant bridal carriage up a perfectly lined path. There is also a larger carriage for your bridal party and a small horse-drawn cart for your flower girls. The groom can even make his way toward the ceremony on a single horse! And to top it all off, ask about the mini-horse beverage service – are you kidding me?!
Perhaps you and your partner want to climb into a horse-drawn carriage for your send-off at the end of the night. You run hand-in-hand from the ballroom to the lawn, family and friends lighting the way with sparklers or throwing flower pedals in the air. He dips you for a final newly-married kiss, and you both climb into the carriage and are whisked away to the cheers of all your guests. I can’t imagine anything more romantic.

First off, take a few quiet minutes together on your shared balcony before the reception timeline takes over. Between the solitude and the setting sun, it’s the deep breath you both need to take.
Don’t skip sunset portraits. Sunset is the most peaceful time of day and the lighting is so soft. When you work with me, I’ll sneak you away at just the right time to capture a few intimate moments for you before the big finale.
